Lala Berlin Website

Last year we were approached by our neighbours, lala Berlin - one of Berlin’s most popular fashion brands - to redesign and art direct their digital appearance as well as their Online Shop.

The new website draws a line from inspiration to e-commerce by connecting a content-rich journal with a slick online shopping experience. We worked on all parts from start to finish line including concept, design and realisation of website, journal and shop.

We’re pretty proud of the result and it’s the start of great new things e-commerce related for us.

Companion #02

At last the second issue of 25hours Hotels Companion Magazine has arrived! As well as its revamped design, Companion #02 expands the scope beyond our first Berlin issue into cities such as Hamburg, Vienna and Zürich, all the while maintaining local access to conversations and tips.

We handled the design for the unique print magazine whilst working closely alongside Freunde von Freunden, who were in charge of all things content. We also translated the new design to the Magazine microsite, where you can take a peak at the new issue and find more information…like that there is a third issue already planned!

Ramba Zamba

A few months ago, German advertising agency Heimat asked for our digital support with their latest campaign “Ramba Zamba" for German supermarket brand REWE.

The campaign, launched for the Fifa World Cup, is aimed at sharing fun videos and ideas for new delicious summer recipes, as well as featuring the TVC ad

We worked on the frontend development based on Heimat’s colourful Brasil-themed design, which includes multiple scroll animations. We finished up by integrating the fully responsive website, together with REWE’s technical partners T80, onto the supermarket brand’s existing site. Take a look at the result here.

Alucobond iPad Magazine

South German manufacturer and market leader in aluminum composite panels - Alucobond, last year assigned us to develop the tablet version of their quarterly magazine "Forms & Elements".

Based on the strategy of our good friends and neighbours Third Wave, we came up with a concept and idea founded around our experience in digital and editorial design.

The aim was to create a digital magazine that takes you on a thematic journey through the world of architecture and design. We wanted to give the audience the opportunity to discover great stories inspired by projects involving Alucobond and their area of expertise.

We designed and developed both iOS and Android versions as well as a modular CMS that allows the client the flexibility to layout the magazine themselves.

Take a look at the result here.

Prototype & fail, Prototype again

Well, nobody’s perfect”

(Final scene of Billy Wilder’s Some Like it Hot)

We think failure can be a good thing, as long as you do it fast. That’s why we always like to prototype and test out our ideas right from the start. Then we iterate towards a solution, assessing and reassessing our designs along the way.

"This is how we work — in movie quotes" is an ongoing MoreSleep series where we explain how we work through movies we love. Find out more here
